One of the best-known faces in Midlands television, Lisa has spent the last 20 years bringing some of the biggest national news stories and celebrity interviews to the screen. After graduating with a Classics degree from London University, Lisa had a spell in academic research in Rome before entering the media as a freelance reporter at BBC Radio Leicester, the very first local radio in the UK. She went on to freelance for BBC Radio 4, then launched her television career as a staff presenter and reporter for BBC TV Midlands. Two years later, she joined the staff of Central News East, presenting hundreds of editions of its popular evening news and magazine programme and working on ground-breaking television investigations. Major stories she has covered include the Kegworth Air Crash. Lisa has also developed a reputation as a showbiz interviewer, and her rollcall of celebrity interviews includes Leslie Nielson of ‘Naked Gun’ fame, Cliff Richard, Ronan Keating, Ken Dodd and Westlife. What few people know is that Lisa is also a qualified ballet teacher. |
